Designed by Europe’s 2006 Ryder Cup-winning captain Ian Woosnam, Pirin Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 Championship class course set in the beautiful Bansko - Razlog valley. Look at it live on YouTube now. In a couple of weeks it will be officially opened. Golf rates for the 2009 season were announced at the end of March 2009.

Amidst the crystal clear mountain creeks, tranquil lakes and lush meadows, one can drive to fairways flanked by wild flowers and shoot to greens guarded by towering pines. The bowl-like valley course will provide a memorable challenge for golfers of all abilities underneath snow-covered peaks.
Please note that only owners of properties in Pirin Golf and Country Club, tenants and guests will be playing this fabulous course, located inside the Pirin Golf Resort; a gated private golf community.
Pirin Golf and Country Club owners will also be among those first invited to join the ceremony for the Pirin Golf Cup International. Arrangements for this first international golf tournament in Bulgaria are now underway, and it is expected the first Pirin Golf Course tournament will be making its debut in 2010. Professionals and amateurs alike are sure to find Pirin Golf a spectacular experience, but this is a physically and mentally demanding layout, not just because of is rugged terrain but also because of its thoughtful design. Surrounding the strategically-located bunkers and undulating greens are hazards, with mountain stream water coming into play on 5 of the 18 holes.

To preview the course opening, here are details of two of the holes, which have already been trial tested.
Hole 10 is a 394-yard Par 4, where one must change direction with the second shot. It is not considered a difficult hole but requires concentration and precision. Surrounded with pine trees to the south, the hole overlooks the third lake to the east.
Hole 18 is a 541-yard Par 5, that ends to the left of the Pirin Golf Clubhouse. It is designed to give a memorable end to the round where eight bunkers add to the fairway “up and down” configuration between old pines to present the day’s final challenge.
